Persey's
Newsletters & Competitions Page
WHAT'S NEW - by Captain Joe - February
1998
This is our first newsletter so the latest news is we are up and
running with Persey's own Official WEB site, so Persey and I would like
to thank you for taking the time to visit our pages. Persey and I have
been very busy recently helping a very good organisation called the General
Aviation Awareness Council set up an educational
WEB site to help all young people who are interested in aircraft and
flying learn more about how 'planes like Persey fly and what the Pilots
like me have to do to help fly them. On the pages you can find out what
all the important parts of Persey - and 'planes like him - do to
help with getting in the air and flying. You can visit these pages by clicking
on any of the links called 'educational'
you see on this newsletter. Every month Persey and I hope to bring you
more and more about how 'planes fly on these pages. I have also got a great
page called 'Plane Sense'
where you can test your knowledge on aircraft.
Every month we are going to bring you great news about some of the exciting things we get up to. Persey and I are members some great flying organisations, two of which are called the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association and the Popular Flying Association. These organisations are just two of the many organisations around to help young (and the not so young) people get involved in aviation sports and pleasure flying. The Popular Flying Association has a programme called the PFA Young Eagles which takes young people from the ages of 7 to 17 up for their first flight in an aircraft.
For those who would like to fly in a 'plane like 'Persey' - he is a DH Dragon Rapide - we are going to tell you about places you can go to to see them flying and get a ride in one! So please visit us regularly to get all this great news.
